Eye Movement, Desensitization, and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is a highly researched, effective psychotherapy method proven to help people recover and alleviate distress from trauma and other challenging life experiences, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, and panic disorders.
Through an integrated process, utilizing a combination of other therapies including psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral, interpersonal, experiential, and somatic (body-centered) therapies, clients are able to access and transform past negative experiences and/or traumas, limiting self-beliefs, and unresolved issues that are affecting their present life.
Occasionally, issues can be resolved in a few sessions, while most require a longer period of time.
